Recently at the APRA (Australasian Performing Rights Association) Awards, held in Melbourne, The Potbelleez took out the coveted prize of "Dance Work of the Year" for their Platinum selling hit single "Don't Hold Back."

It's seems the Belleez can do no wrong wether smashing out their live show or Dj set they are guaranteed to deliver.

They have become a Q Thursday favourite and they are back because they love us and Q too.

He has been touring extensively since we saw him last and no doubt has some new tricks in his bag. Now that exams are winding down it is now time for you to really cut loose and Q Thursday is your one stop shop.

H.O.S.H from Hamburg / Germany formerly known as Holger Behn, started his producing career about five years ago with the project Motion 040 together with Jay Pauli. 

With releases on Get Physical, Paloma, Force Sense and Word and Sounds own Wizkidz / Waskidz and Remixes on Labels such like Plusquam or Pias he already has got quiet a bit around. 

In 2005 then Holger decided to get more focused on his solo project H.O.S.H. and a first base was found soon on Oliver Koletzki´s label Stil vor Talent. Then later in 2005 he made up with Mladen Solomun and Adriano Trolio who where about to come up with the Label Diynamic Music.  

With several releases on Diynamic and Stil vor Talent, H.O.S.H. really found his definition of modern House. His tunes are for all wanting to escape the scene grind but still want to stay on the dancefloor. 

With this concept he already earned a lot of respect and his tracks are played and charted by djs such as Dj T, Karotte, Martin Landsky, Kiki, Tiger Stripes, Oliver Koletzki, Dan Berkson, Benno Blome and Sebbo K. just to name a few.  

His most known track so far probably is "Steppenwolf" which made it in the groove charts on place 18 and got relicensed on a few compilations worldwide.  

In 2008 several releases on Diynamic, Stil vor Talent, Kindisch and Get Physical will follow and also some great remixes are in the box…   

With local support from Dave Pham, Virginia Le, Tom Evans, Nick Jones, China, Shane Copal  Ben Pittard, Matt Kovic, Joe Boyer,  Mitch Kurz, John Doe, Bryce Lawrence, Marzie, Gianni,  Silversix and Louis Raper.

POLYFONIK EP LAUNCH @ Q FRIDAY 22/05/09

Polyfonik are 2 Melbourne boys that know how to get a crowd going. They make sure that no matter the size of stage or crowd everyone leaves satisfied.

Their live shows include an electric guitar, vocals, ableton, sampling, lighting and visual effects.

Their music style ranges from house to funk to electronic rock and you will also find yourself singing along with your hands in the air.

Polyfonik have remixed for Funkerman, Kaz James, Boogie Fresh, Mobin Master & Hess, Firefox, Sgt. Slick & Orkestrated and Mark James just to name a few and have had some of their tunes on the Pacha and Kiss My Grass compilations.

So far the boys have played all over the country, including gigs such as, Summadayze, Stereosonic, Future Music Festival, Global Gathering, Kiss My Grass and also We Love Ministry of Sound in Perth and have played alongside Tiefschwarz, Supafly Inc, Sebastian Leger, Sandy Rivera and DJ Sneak to name a few.

They have recently launched a self-titled record label and plan on releasing a massive amount of songs, EP’s and eventually albums in the very near future.

Simply put, Spencer Parker is a legend of the underground electronic house movement.  Whether its raising the roof with main set mayhem, or loosening the crowd for whom ever is next to come, Spencer is your man.  

His track selection and set building are second to none with an eclectic mix of jackin, minimal, electronica and acid house.  His productions came to light in 2005 with his debut single ‘Open Your Eyes’ on Cr2 with hits coming think and fast since then including ‘Beautiful Noise’ (2006), and teaming up with Nic Fanuilli for ‘Neon’ (2007).

Since its inception Vicious has been at the forefront of Australian Dance Music.

Vicious artists have ranged from International stars such as UK techno don Carl Cox (his "Eternal" release with Mark James and John Course was one of the labels earliest releases), through to budding Australian producers who grew to world acclaim...Does Dirty South or Madison Avenue come to mind?

Sgt Slick picked up a Best Dance Release ARIA with his seminal "White Treble Black Bass", as did Pendulum with "Coma" and of course, the multi platinum selling, 5 times ARIA winning Madison Avenue were also signed to Vicious.

Rogue Trader's James Ash and TV Rock's Ivan Gough released their first music on Vicious, as did a host of now well known Australian producers and DJs. Dirty South, Vandalism and the hugely successful The Potbelleez are currently signed to the label as are many of the artists we are showcasing at the Vicious Sound System event.

Constantly traversing the country, SB rocks dance floors, music festivals, and more in all the states across Australia as an MC and entertainer, he continues his formula of performing live with an array of dynamic DJ's including- Matt Roberts, Adam Bartas (Orchestrated),The Stafford Bros, Grant Smillie & Ivan Gough (TV Rock), & Chardy.
Because of his constant touring around the country means having him in his home town is a rare treat.

As one of the most charismatic individuals to smash his way onto the house music scene in recent years, Micky Slim is the Birmingham-bred bad boy that has arrived and is ready to take over. With an outstanding production portfolio that has had a phenomenal success rate of being heard on BBC Radio1, an international residency that gives Micky global exposure, its clear that Micky is not just one of the UK’s finest up-and-coming talents, he is getting recognition the world over.

2007 was definitely a massive year for Micky – what with being snapped up by top London DJ agency IMD, who represent some of the top talent in the world; securing an eight gig residency at the infamous ‘Judgment Sundays’ in Ibiza plus a residency at the fabulous ‘Le Mix’ in Paris; having his rework of House of Pain’s ‘Jump Around’ approved and set for release on Warners; remixing ‘Feel like dancin’ for the mighty Fingerlickin; ‘The Girls’ by Calvin Harris for Sony BMG; 2 remixes for Skint Records and a further remix of the colossal The Freaks ‘The Creeps’. After recently being named the most played group on Australian radio out rating all other Australian artists Q is proud to announce the triumphant return of the POTBELLEEZ. Today, The Potbelleez stand unquestionably as one of Australia’s most in-demand acts, having performed over 250 gigs in 2007 alone. The band may have set the benchmark high but it seems that in 2008 they topped it, having played Future Music Festival, Good Vibrations, We Love Sounds, MTV Snow Jam in NZ and a huge gig at the Electric Picnic Festival in Ireland. They also toured extensively for 2 months under the Ministry of Sound Sessions 5 banner.
