'MINX' returns to Q Thursday 29th Jan 09

Adelaide's or should we say Radelaide's Minx rerturns to Q Thursday and it will be one for all you boys and girls to get excited about.

DJ Minx is kind of like that firecracker you let off at school when no-one was watching: started out small and you didn't think much would come of it, but before long, things are out of control and you're hiding under your desk trying to work out your next move. Plying her craft for the past four years in her home town, Minx is now letting loose on the national and international stage. Recruited into the Onelove stable in 2006, Minx has held a weekly residency at Onelove/Electric Circus every friday night as well as serving it up for Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Minx also recently stepped it up in Mykonos supporting Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso at Paradise Club. Minx also added the festival game into her repertoire, performing at Parklife festival in Adelaide,Future Music Festival in Adelaide, We Love Sounds in Adelaide, Stereosonic Festival in Melbourne and Good Vibrations Festival in Sydney . Minx's DJ sets fuse elements of electro, indie, disco, a little bit of house that results in a genre-bending journey helping to leave you a little hazy the morning after and not quite sure how you got home. Minx's talents have also seen her mixing it up for fashion shows by hot right now designers Liza Emanuele (It Girl) and Alex Perry. So as you're hiding under that desk waiting for the f#*king firecracker to burn out, you'd better hope it's running on less gunpowder than DJ Minx!
She herself is very excited about coming back to Q as it has been a while since she has graced the decks.
Minx is defo a dj that flies the flag of great girl dj's in the country and will give our regular Q boys something to think about.
As part of our 'Summer Series' don't miss Minx, at Q Thursday the 29th January.
ThanQ.

Give generously to 'GOODWILL' Thursday 22nd Jan 09.

"A great DJ with a perfect feeling for when to play the right tunes"
(AXWELL)
"Some people say Will.I.am, i say Will.is.Great. He's the king of southern hemisphere"
 (DIRTY SOUTH)
"Ive never seen such an incredible multitalented, djing, singing, gogo dancer. Its the perfect combination and I love him"
(TOM NOVY)
"Goodwill is the most upfront DJ in oz"
 (Mark Brown MYNC Project)
Yeah, yeah, yeah. So he produces several genres of music under several different pseudonyms, leaks his own white label bootleg mash-ups to fellow DJs and onto rocking dance floors, mixes Ministry of Sound compilation after Ministry of Sound compilation, remixes megastars, tours Australia and the world, has an alarming, thankfully rare, stage diving habit, fronts a national radio show, knows far too many people (far too well) and can drink drunks under the table.   But surely the hardest working creative chameleon in the music business does something to make his mother proud,  oh yeah, she quite likes one of the weirder mash-ups.
Goodwill returns to Q Thursday 22nd January 09,
come see him take it to a new level.
ThanQ.

ZOE BADWI IS 'RELEASED' ON Q SATURDAY 17 JAN>

Zoe Badwi is one of Australia's best kept secrets. Working in both the pop and club domain, she is a prolific writer and singer. With 2 top 10 Australian hits already under her belt (with pop act Sirens) lead singer of Black Dogs and an established acting and modeling career, It’s safe to say that Zoe is a busy girl!

'Release Me' is Zoe's first solo record in which she teamed up with double ARIA award winning outfit TV ROCK to co-produce the track. So happy with the result, the TV Rockers signed the record to their Bimbo Rock label and are currently working with Zoe on new material for her forthcoming releases. 'Release Me' is an out and out anthem and with strong vocals and massive hooks, it raced straight to #1 on the Aria Club Charts.

With the single being added to radio all over Australia, and included on some of the biggest compilation releases this year, it seems there really is no stopping Zoe now!

For our Q Saturday crew this will  be a treat as Zoe performs live Saturday the 17th of January 09.
Supporting on the night will be J Nitti (Italy) in his last performance before returning to Europe.
See you on the dancefloor.
ThanQ.

THUR$DAY$

Not much to say except... see you there.

Sunday 18th Jan: KASEY TAYLOR - round 2

Kasey Taylor began DJ’ing at the young age of 13 in a little roller disco in the outback of Australia, and has never really looked back since. He is one of Australia’s biggest dance exports, and is now one of the most accomplished and most recognized Dj’s on the global stage. Indeed, you might expect a few results in your 23rd year of Dj’ing, but the truth is that experience and practice will only get you so far and at some stage it takes raw talent to turn the heads of the dance community. Back for one night only after living in Europe, Kasey's at Q on Sunday 18th Jan.

The return of the POTBELLEEZ Thursday Feb 12/09

After recently being named the most played group on Australian radio out rating all other Australian artists Q is proud to announce the triumphant return of the POTBELLEEZ.
Today, The Potbelleez stand unquestionably as one of Australia’s most in-demand acts, having performed over 250 gigs in 2007 alone. The band may have set the benchmark high but it seems that in 2008 they topped it, having played Future Music Festival, Good Vibrations, We Love Sounds, MTV Snow Jam in NZ and a huge gig at the Electric Picnic Festival in Ireland. They also toured extensively for 2 months under the Ministry of Sound Sessions 5 banner.
If you have not seen the Belleez play live before don’t miss this performance at Q Thursday the 12th of February 09.
ThanQ.
